Scuba Diving

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DIVE SHOP, ALBANY 

The Dive Shop in Albany, GA is offering an unique opportunity to become scuba certified for those in the Thomasville community. Currently these classes are OPEN WATER ONLY (Beginner Class)-as interest grows we hope to add more advanced classes.

June, July, or August Class

  • All classroom sessions will be held at the Everett-Milton facility.
  • Classroom Sessions are from 6:00pm-8:30pm
  • Pool Session will be 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Certification Dives: Depends on Month Registered
  • Students must provide their own mask, fins, snorkel, and dive boots (All can be purchased at a discount at the Dive Shop’s website: http://thediveshop.pro
  • The Dive Shop will provide the BCD, tanks, weights, wetsuits, and regulators for the duration of the course.
  • Sign up and pay at Thomasville YMCA and pickup student materials in the Aquatics Department.
  • Certification trip in Florida is REQUIRED for certification and requires additional fee (approx. $250) PAID TO THE DIVE SHOP (does not include travel expenses or lodging).

Class Dates:  August 10th (Admin Night)    6:00pm – 8:30pm

Pool Session:  August 15th                            8:00am – 4:00pm

Certification Dives:  August 29th & 30th

  • Students must provide mask, fins, and snorkel.
  • Students will receive a discount at The Dive Shop on Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Boots.
  • The Dive Shop will provide BCD, Tanks, Weights, Wetsuits, Regulators for the duration of the course.
  • Sign up and pay at Thomasville YMCA and pickup student materials in the Aquatics Section.
  • Open water dives are required to complete all certifications / additional cost is $250.00 (do not include travel expenses or lodging.) Payable to The Dive Shop.
